Mindy Kahle brings over 30 years of law enforcement experience to her campaign for Cascade County Sheriff. She has served as a police officer, deputy sheriff, and District Attorney Investigator, with extensive experience in patrol, criminal investigations, and public safety operations.
Her career includes specialized roles in sexual assault investigations, hostage negotiation, canine handling, and family protection cases. She also served as a certified Medical Examiner death investigator, conducting field investigations and assisting in autopsy examinations. Throughout her career, Mindy has worked in both urban and rural environments, giving her a well-rounded understanding of the communities she serves. Kahle has also competed in the Western States Police and Fire Games and the World Police and Fire Games in track and field, and enjoys the Montana lifestyle including horseback riding, fishing, hunting, and beekeeping.
Mindy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Criminal Justice and a Master’s degree in Public Administration. Her approach is grounded in real-world law enforcement experience, focused on upholding the law, protecting communities, and operating with integrity and accountability.
Mindy is running for Sheriff to restore trust in leadership, strengthen standards within the department, and ensure every part of Cascade County is served fairly, consistently, and with respect.
